Forty years ago, I was a psychic junkie. I had found reincarnation as well as the mesmerizing power of psychics. Nonetheless, out of the blue, I was turned on to numerology. I was young and starting my career and marriage. I actually loved acquiring my next psychic. One day, someone said numerologist to me. I was a blank. I’d no idea what that meant. But I designed to discover out.
I was working hard in Dallas. I was told this numerologist.com was in Fort Worth and her name was Marie Norris. Sounded innocent enough. How do I reserve a numerology session with her? It was just a bit complex. It seems Miss Norris was not a big follower of the contemporary use of the phone. She did not actually have a secretary or answering machine. At any rate, I found out where she lived and off I went.
Dallas isn’t as around Fort Worth as lots of folks tell you. And in the early 1970s, it seemed a lot more. But gas was 29 cents a gallon so who cared. We didn’t have the internet next so I had no quick method to take a look at what numerology was. I was a small bit acquainted with astrology, these days I know just how tiny.
Her home wasn’t too tricky to find even for a Dallas woman. I walked as much as the door and knocked wanting a good old girl to seem to graciously ask me in to a beautiful home. She was indeed older along with a significant lover of cats by the amount I first discovered. And maybe even a lover of rats because they dominated as well.
The first thing I noticed when entering was being overwhelmed by the ghastly smell. A nice southern girl, I’d never ever say something about it. But I began to realize I couldn’t breathe properly in its presence. She simply asked me to sit down somewhere between the stacks of newspapers and slimy canned cat food. I did not understand how long this will take, however, I wasn’t sure I would remain quite long time with the stench.
She asked me my name as well as my birthday. I gave it and off she went. She began hundreds of calculations starting at the upper part of the page on the bottom and then returned once again to the very best with the next row. I’m not sure, but she place at least 6-7 rows of calculations and then started on the rear of the web page. This went on for a lot of pages.
She was intensely wrapped up in the calculations of her. And then she would just completely stop and slump down in what I should only describe as a “nap.” Just as I started to get concerned, she would then suddenly sit up and continue. This seemed like an eternity. And so, I discreetly excused myself as well as went outside to eagerly grab some fresh air.
I had absolutely no idea that she was creating a numerology reading on me or even what that meant. I was simply wanting a deck of cards. Though she was determined to give me the expertise of her. And certainly she did. When she finished and asked me to come back in, she started telling me things I hadn’t even asked about. With complete power, she said that I would be getting a green vehicle. I said, no, no. My car is red and somewhat new. She said, “The next time you come, you will have a green car.”
Somehow, she informed the interest in me. After she finished revealing to me where I would live, who I would be with and also what very best things have been for me, I started questioning her. It’s been some time, although I can remember she said she learned numerology at Stanford Faculty. I haven’t idea in case that’s correct, but I then looked around all of the stacks of papers and found a map out on a table.
I subsequently discovered that she was under contract with a number of different oil companies to tell them where you can drill for oil. Suddenly she became a bit less strange to me. I became addicted to her. The next time I came, I realized I’d an environmentally friendly car. Each time I arrived I discovered a little bit more about her, but not around numerology. She wasn’t interested in teaching jaoxth numerology, what a numerology chart is and how life path numerology is of help. She went about the calculations of her and then made her numerological predictions.
She informed me that she’d always stayed in Fort Worth. Her dad had been an officer in the Army stationed at Ft. Worth. Sometimes she will arrive at her home too I did in a stunning Cadillac. She clarified that the driver had “rented” her for a gathering. She create an office for the party goers to drop in and buy their numerological readings.
I began to realize that Marie Norris was an icon within the Fort Worth community. She advised everyone, from the very very rich to the not so rich. She’d simply won them over doing what she did better compared to others without tooting her own horn.
About 10 years later after a much way too long abstinence, I was editing a film with my buddy George Kline. His production company had made the movie in Dallas. While we were chatting, he reminded me that he was originally from Fort Worth. I became all bubbly and asked in case he knew Marie Norris. Just as bubbly, his eyes lighted up and he said, “Of course!” I said, hey we need to go see her.
He agreed and also called the assistant of his to arrange a booking. His assistant called back and alerted us that Miss Norris was no longer living. We had been devastated. Who would we go to for numerological readings.
Marie Norris never trained me in numerology, never created my numerology report or even chart. But she gave me an appreciation of numerology which I continue to have forty years in the future. I’ve the internet now to learn more and more numerology, numerological predictions and numerology readings. So, that is what I am going to do to honor the dear Miss Norris. It’s time.
